News: Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire CoroCoro scans (E3 leaks?)

(all images are from Serebii)

Whoa! Check this out, guys. The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire leaks have come through. I believe these were MEANT for E3, so it’s unfortunate that we’re spoiled already for E3 stuff. Oh well! This first image showcases four, erm, THREE new mega evolutions. This first one is a pokemon recently revealed to us anyways, Mega Diancie. As details come in, we’ve been told that it’s ability APPEARS to be new. just marked as “???” on the scan. This also shows that Mega Diancie will be the first pokemon after Generation Four to have a mega-evolution. Then comes MEGA SCEPTILE! Finally, the other Hoenn starters get to mega-evolve. Anyways, Mega Sceptile has the ability Lightning Rod, for some reason, but is an EPIC typing. Grass/Dragon! I knew you guys would be excited! Then, Mega Swampert, still Water/Ground, gains the ability Swift Swim. I might choose Swampert this time around, though I’m usually partial to Torchic’s line.

Also, these strange forms of the games mascots, Groudon and Kyogre, have been explained. They actually are called (Prehistoric/Primal/Primeval) Groudon and Kyogre. And… it’s supposed to be their regressional forms, as if this is what they were back in time. It’s specifically called Ancient Degression. Could this game have some fooling around with time between the two?

Also, Team Magma and Team Aqua are returning, with Maxie and Archie leading respectively. Also to the right of Maxie are the other Magma admins, the man being known as Tabitha and the woman being Courtney. To Archie’s right are another man and woman, being Matt and Shelly. I believe all of these people are returning from the original Hoenn games.

This picture showcases Brendan and May’s redesigns. Interesting, I guess. We also can see some in-game screenshots here, and while blurry, we can see an improved detail sense from Pokemon X and Y. Also, if you see that little brace on May and Brendan, you have good eyes! These replace the Mega Rings from X and Y, and (in Japanese) they are the “Mega Bangle” but I’m imagining here it’ll be the “Mega Bracelet” or something.

The final image showcases Steven Stone, but it’s unknown if he will be the champion again, like in Ruby and Sapphire, or still replaced by Wallace like in Emerald. In the bottom-most screenshot, it appears that he owns the ever-popular Mega Charizard X. Also, the left-most screenshot showcases the starter selection screen. It even has the satchel Professor Birch had in the original games.

Of course, I expect more translations, so I’ll update as they come.
