Mario Kart 8’s huge update has been released today. Alongside adding online stability fixes, the addition of a minimap on the top screen, and the extension of VR points, version 2.0 has included something that will lead into later updates, a shop!
The shop will include DLC that, while not release currently, is available to be bought now in advance. The first pack, releasing this November, includes Link, Cat Peach, and Tanooki Mario as characters, with four new vehicles and eight new courses. The second pack, coming this May, will include Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser as new characters, also with four new vehicles and eight new courses. If you buy the DLC packs in advance, you can get the added feature of new colored Yoshi’s and Shy Guy’s available for play now.
You can also “buy” (it’s free) the Mercedes Benz DLC pack, which includes Mercedes Benz bodies and wheels for you to add to the customization options. So, what are you waiting for? Update your Mario Kart 8 game today!
