The video above showcases a new Mega Evolution, Mega Rayquaza. This fearsome beast is the third of the legendary Hoenn trio, and for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, he mega evolves into something spectacular. The trailer above shows the mighty dragon in it’s awesome power, showcasing just a taste of what we can only assume is a fearsome attacker.
While still keeping it’s Dragon and Flying type, Mega Rayquaza gains a special new ability called Delta Stream which activates when Mega Rayquaza hits the field. In it, it creates the “Strong Winds” weather condition, in which weather conditions like Sunshine, Rain, Sandstorm, or Hail will be dissipated and won’t be able to be conjured when Mega Rayquaza is out in battle. Plus, all moves that would normally break down flying-types like Ice-types or Electric-types will only do normal damage to said Flying-types.
